Pre-Ballet
A fun class for little ones who want to learn basic technique using original stories and music.

Pre-Tap
Shuffles, flaps and heel drops are a few skills taught to encourage coordination and rhythm.

Ballet
Classes include exercises at the barre and center while building muscular strength, posture and musicality. Each level provides the technical building blocks for the following level. Legacy Studios teaches the American Ballet Theatre National Training Curriculum a breakthrough 8 level program that combines high quality artistic training with the basics of dancer health and child development. The ABT® NTC consists of a comprehensive set of age-appropriate, outcome-based guidelines to provide the highest quality ballet training to dance students of all ages and skill levels. Dancers must be proficient in one level before moving to the next. Levels 1-5.

Ballet Basics
A ballet class for folks who have NEVER studied ballet or it was so long ago..….. We start from the VERY beginning. No previous experience needed !

Ballet Lab Class
These classes are by teacher referral or student request. We will work slowly and specifically on one or two elements of ballet technique in a given class.

Ballet Seminar
Required for Ballet Levels 2-5 and interested adults. Each class will cover a different aspect of a dancer’s life – nutrition, hygiene, safety, physical therapy, technique, and much more.

Broadway Tap

Time steps, wings and rhythm patterns are some steps that are taught in progression in this class.


Broadway Jazz
Focusing on the jazz styles used in musical theater.

Conditioning
Use of mats, hand weights and dynabands to stay fit for dance, sports or cardiovascular wellness.

Boys Dance
Boys-only class that focuses on ballet technique to improve endurance, muscular strength and coordination… the perfect class to accompany any sports activity.

Open Ballet
Student and Adult Division dancers may attend this class to perfect their classical technique during these classes.

Variations
Ballet Levels 5 and students wishing to compete at American Ballet Competition or Youth America Grand Prix learn Ballet repertoire focusing on musicality and performance quality.

Partnering
This is a required class for Ballet Levels 4and 5.  Students learn how to dance with a male dancer, doing lifts, turns and learning the classical pas de deux.  At least 4 years of serious ballet training are requirements to attend this class and females should have at least two years of pointe.

Aerial
Aerial work originated in circuses but has made the transition to dance and now recognized as a dance form in it's own right. Students will learn to "fly" on fabric drapes and work will also be done with hoops. This is excellent for working on a dancer's core strength and upper body. Students will be closely supervised and will be working close to the ground in a safe, supportive environment.

Floor Barre
A technique developed for professional dancers to lengthen and strengthen muscles…an amazing class for overall body conditioning.

Flamenco
A culturally rich dance form originally from Spain.  In this class you will learn basic technique as well as its history.

Pointe
Begins with ballet students who have been in Ballet 3 for one year.  Dancers learn how ballet technique is used to develop  balance and strength for dancing en pointe ( on their toes).  Graded levels. Adults welcome!

Mixed Ability Dance

This class focuses the development of each student’s natural sense of creativity and individuality in movement. Fun and creative movement games assist in increasing alignment, co-ordination, body awareness, spatial awareness, strength, balance, endurance, flexibility, and self-expression. The disciplines covered include ballet, contemporary, jazz, hip hop and improvisation techniques; somatics; physical theater; authentic movement; choreography; and composition. Course emphasis will be tailored to the development of each student’s creative potential. We will use movement-based problem solving to generate movement and make dances.


Modern
From Beginner to Advanced, students learn how to creatively move through space using different levels and musical styles.

Jazz
Move with finesse in these exciting classes consisting of warm-up, technique, turns and leaps.

Jumps & Turns
For those dancers in Level 4 and above who wish to perfect their technique as it applies to petit allegro work, grande allegro work, pirouettes, enchaines deboules and more!

Yoga
Subtle Yoga is tailored to the students for therapeutic, energizing classes. The class is based on the specific needs of regular students, whether those needs be strength-building, increasing flexibility, or quieting the mind. Each class is based around a relevant theme and includes short readings tailored to the theme. The Subtle Yoga-inspired class ends with self-massage with aromatherapy, progressive relaxation, and a ten minute shava’sana.

Feldenkrais
Based on physics, martial arts and biomechanics, you will be more aware of how to function on a daily basis helping to prevent injuries and promote healing.

Pilates
Help create the long dancer’s body with this class as you strengthen and elongate muscles.
