Why "Legacy"
As dancers and teachers, we owe a debt to those who have gone before us in the classical tradition. There are teachers, choreographers and other dancers, all of whom have given us something. They have passed their legacy on to us. And we in turn pass it along to the next generation of dancers. One of my teachers and mentors, Mrs. Barbara Bounds Milone has given me more than she will ever know. Legacy is named in honor of her and the time and love she devoted to this art form. Thank you Ms. B!

Erick & Carol Take Third!
Erick Upoff, visiting instructor with Legacy Studios for the Performing Arts , and his mother Carol took 3rd place in Lifetime Television's "Your Mama Don't Dance".  Congratulations Erick and Carol!  We're all very proud of you!

The Broadway at Legacy Spring Break Intercession Camp is On!
The B-way at Legacy camp will be "Oliver" from the movie Oliver Twist.   This camp is a go!  Dance Rocks, Gruv Girlz and B-Boyz camps have been cancelled.
 

Legacy's Own Upoff On TV!
Erick Upoff, one of Legacy Studios visiting instructors, will be competing on the TV reality show "Your Mama Don't Dance" on Lifetime television.  The show premieres on Friday, Feb 29th at 9pm EST.  Click here to see a preview.

Swing and Ballroom At Legacy!
Interested in Swing Dance or Ballroom? Please check out the link for Rebecca Brightly (swing) and Leah Long (ballroom). Both teach Sunday's on site at Legacy.

Yoga-lates Please
Is anyone interested in yoga-lates with Laura Thomasson? If we get up enough for a class (at least 5 paying folk) then she is interested in offering a class 2 or 3 times a week.  Let us know if you are interested by completing the very short form below.

NCAC will be joining Legacy Studios

Faesi Is Coming!
Martha Faesi from VSA will be teaching a master class at Legacy Studios for the Performing Arts on Sunday, April 27 at 2pm-4pm.  This class can be used as an audition for those who are interested in VSA's summer program.
